Overview
CleanerUp helps you analyse and organise photos, videos, and contacts on your iPhone. Core cleanup, compression, contact tools, and vault encryption are designed to run on your device. Optional Premium purchases are offered through Apple’s App Store.
Data we access
- Photo library (read/write) to scan for cleanup categories, compress media, and save exports.
- Contacts to find duplicates, incomplete entries, and backups.
- Face ID / device passcode to unlock the Private Vault.
On-device processing
Library analysis, similarity detection, duplicate detection, contact merging previews, vault encryption, and compression workflows run locally on your device. The app does not implement a proprietary CleanerUp server for uploading your photo library.
Apple services
CleanerUp uses Apple frameworks such as PhotoKit and may allow network access when loading iCloud-backed assets — consistent with standard Photos behaviour. App Store purchases and subscription billing are processed by Apple.
Subscriptions and Purchases
CleanerUp offers optional Premium access through Apple In-App Purchases. Apple processes payments and billing. CleanerUp does not collect or store payment card details, and CleanerUp does not process Apple payments on its own servers.
CleanerUp uses Adapty to manage subscription and purchase status, paywall configuration, and Premium entitlement. Adapty may process technical purchase and subscription information, and identifiers required to provide these services, according to Adapty’s privacy practices. See Adapty’s Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
In addition to Apple frameworks and the App Store, CleanerUp uses:
- Adapty — subscription management and purchase entitlement infrastructure. Privacy details: adapty.io/privacy.
These providers process information under their own privacy policies. CleanerUp does not sell your photo library or contacts to third parties.
Deletions
Items are removed from your library only after you select them and confirm deletion in the app.
